Description
In this course you will learn key approaches to use parking management effectively in sustainable urban mobility planning (SUMP).

The course will help you:
• To understand the effectiveness of parking management as a tool in SUMPs
• To define key factors that can make parking management more acceptable to people.
• Know and be able to respond to some of the key arguments against parking management.
• To take the first steps to introduce parking management in a city or region
• Understand the relationship between parking and quality of life in cities/regions

What you will learn:
• Understanding the key elements to introduce parking management in a city
• Implementing parking policies strategically
• Creating knowledge and understanding amongst stakeholders and citizens
• The ability to gain acceptability for parking measures in a city or region   

About this course 
This course is developed under the EU Horizon 2020 project CIVITAS ELEVATE. CIVITAS ELEVATE aims to expand (future) mobility professionals’ capacities in making urban mobility more sustainable and smarter.
